Hello! My name is Anne and I am currently doing my PhD project at the TU Delft under the supervision of Johan Romate and Kees Vuik. My project focuses on the integration of a power grid, gas network and district heating network into one model. Next to math I like doing sports, baking and playing board games.
Hello! I am Jörn Zimmerling a PhD student at TU Delft in the Research Group Circuits and Systems. My Co-promotor and daily supervisor is Rob Remis. My mathematical field of interest span a wide range. Specific topic include modelling of wave phenomena, model order reduction, Krylov methods and inverse problems. I am especially enthusiastic about connections between mathematics and physics. Next to math I like to spend my time biking, and outdoors in the nature.
Hello! My name is Gaby and I am a PhD student at TU Delft in the Numerical Analysis department. My promotors are prof. Kees Vuik and prof. Jan Dirk Jansen. My research field is applied mathematics, in particular, preconditioning techniques for Krylov subspaces and POD-based deflation methods. My applications are for reservoir simulation. As hobbies, I practice sports and I like music and traveling.
Hello! My name is Jiao Chen from China. I am doing my PhD supervised by Dr.ir. Fred Vermolen and Prof.dr.ir. Kees Vuik at TU Delft in the Research Group pf Numerical Analysis. My research is about numerical modelling of cancer development and inhibition. Besides math and biology, I like table tennis and music.
Hi, I am Patrick Fuchs and I am doing my research in Electromagnetic modeling for MRI scanners with Rob Remis at the Circuits and Systems group. My mathematical interests lie in applied probability, modeling electromagnetics and inversion problems. Besides mathematics I enjoy making music a lot and I play the cello in various ensembles and orchestras as well as sing in a choir. Within the student chapter I am responsible for the website and our contacts with companies for excursions and talks.
Hello! My name is Manuel and I am a PhD student of Martin van Gijzen. My research is in the field of numerical linear algebra, but I am also interested in model order reduction and optimal control. Besides math, I like tennis and skying as well as traveling. Within the Student Chapter, I organize the so-called baNaNa talks.
