Hi, my name is Merel. I am a PhD candidate under the supervision of Martin van Gijzen. I am working in a team that is developing an inexpensive and portable version of an MRI scanner for developing countries. My focus is on developing algorithms for image reconstruction. Some of my hobbies are playing tennis, dancing salsa, singing and skiing.
Hola! This is Mousa, secretary and vice president. I am a PhD candidate at both EWI and CiTG faculties. My project is related to multilevel dynamic methods for CFD modeling on fractured porous media. I am working with Kees Vuik and Hadi Hajibeygi. I play in Krylov Tigers football team. And I am a Latin dance addict! salsa, bachata (my favorite), kizomba, ballroom, you name it :D
My name is Roel and I am the treasurer of the board. Furthermore, I organize the so-called BaNaNa talks (link naar website). My research is in the field of Isogeometric Analysis and is performed together with my daily supervisor Matthias Moller and promotor Prof. Kees Vuik. I am a proud member of our department football team, the Krylov Tigers. In my spare time, apart from cooking and cycling on my racing bike, I like to play tennis against our president :-)
My name is Jochen and I am a PhD candidate under the supervision of Matthias Möller and Kees Vuik. In my master's, I studied applied mathematics and physics. My current research interests lie in spline-based parameterization techniques for Isogeometric Analysis applications. In my spare time, I play the piano and the guitar (sometimes alone, sometimes with friends), do sports or read about other topics that interest me like history and geography.
